Absolutely. I have been a single dog parent for the past seven years to my two ittle angels, Winston and Dakota. Dakota I rescued when I was volunteering with Frontline K7 Manitoba. I remember the day that we got a call from the chief of the reserve in God’s Lake, which was located about eight hours from downtown Winnipeg, where we were. He explained that they had done a shootout because they didn’t have access to veterinary care and that’s how they control. Their population . Myself and some nurses went up to support the computer and bring food and a span neuter clinic and to collect the deceased animals. This is when I found a very weak looking puppy in the bush. At that moment, I didn’t think much of it. We put her back in the car and she was taken back to the nearest vet and then transferred to Winnipeg. They tried to adopt her out three times, but she kept coming back with behavioural problems because she was my first dog. I looked at her and I thought that’s how she looked but when I got really serious into training and started to learn about dogs, psychology, and what things look like, I was able to get her to a point where she’s so regulated that you can actually see the colour in her eyes. She used to be so overstimulated that her pupils were the whole size of her eye so Dakota was highly reactive with a aggressive tendencies, and I don’t know what to do . and I was able to team up with Debbi McArthur, who taught me the psychology of a dog and really supported me with helping getting Dakota back to a safe space. I’ve been a dog owner for many years and have lots of hands-on experience with different breeds, personalities and needs. I have been able to help many folks in my neighborhood, family members, and families that I have met through other pet service apps. I’m especially comfortable with larger dogs, puppies, and dogs who need a little extra patience or structure. I have lots of experience with great training, and proper leash walking if you find your dog is yanking you down the street I would be happy to help. I know if be overwhelming, but I’ll be with you every step of the way and I also went through this with my Dakota and it’s the best thing I ever did for her… And myself, because let’s be honest, owning a dog that is unpredictable or has the potential to be dangerous is equally stressful on the Owner, if not more. experience with training, leash skills, enrichment and caring for reactive dogs. I treat every pet like my own and always prioritize their safety, comfort and happiness.

I would like to know what makes them most happy (favourite parks, games, car rides, or places to go etc) what your main words are, their schedule, if they have any triggers to things outside (dogs, bikes, rollerblades cars etc.) and lastly, if there are any behavioural concerns that you are worried about, that you would want me to work on during our time together… Just some examples, such as pulling on a leash - in the training that I do my dogs understand that their front paw is to not go in front of my front leg. When I stop whether it be at a light or I have to pivot, the second I stopped walking both when Cindy and Dakota should sit down. developing recall, barking out windows counter, surfing… Anything of that matter

A typical day

I work from home, so I'm around most of the day. I love taking dogs for walks, training and exercising both them physically and mentally so that when you get home from work, your pup is exhausted
